24th November, 2006 - Capability Maturity Assessments

Capability Maturity Assessments provide a way to understand the maturity of your service processes, on a scale of 1-5 with 1 being the lowest. They provide for constructive debate on what is important for the business and to prioritise where the most work is required (and not all processes need to be at level 5).

This week, we have recently updated the assessment criteria to provide a more structured methodology looking at the processes from a business perspective.

17th November, 2006 - ITSMF Conference

This year's ITSMF conference has to rate as one of the best. It has matured to become an excellent opportunity for networking and, more importantly, brushing up on the latest thoughts and experiences from the service management world. Of particular note this year were presentations on the scale of change at HMRC, the emotional tale of the impact of the Buncefield fire disaster on Northgate IS Systems, and applying techniques from the manufacturing world to improving IS processes. Overall, an excellent event and one we would recommend to all
